Am I being thankful? Am I really?
I know you don’t like me grumbling, and that being so easy to do, I find my self doing it quite often. But why not look at all those things that I can be thankful for?
Wow!, the list can be very long if I just start mentioning those things that instead of being thankful for, I grumble about…
Yes, it is hard to be a mom, it's highly demanding 24/7. But what if I just thank God for the beautiful daughter that He has given me? What If I just focus on all those moments when she just smiles and makes everything worth it?
Yes, there are many things I would love to have. But, what if I just thank God for everything that I already have? I have a house, food, a car, a laptop… etc.
Yes, being away from my family can be hard at times. But what if I just take a minute to think on all those people that God has placed around me here in Switzerland? I am not alone.
Yes, doing all those “hard” things within the mission can be tiring. But what if I just keep in mind that I get to do all of this for Him? Can I be thankful that I know Him?
And the list goes on…
I should place my attention on things that matter.
My God is great; He has given me all that I need and more!
Father, you are all kind and loving to me. THANK YOU for being who you are.
