In the starting place we had an hour of praying and interceding. There, i got to talk to a guy named Ramon who knows God and believes in Him but doesn't have a personal relationship with Him. It was sad to me to see how he knew a lot about how to be an example for others and how to help his neighbor but he is not walking in that. So i got to encourage him to seek God and to start a relationship with the One who created him.
We started our march and got to the final destination within an hour. Even though it wasn't long, we were able to proclaim God's name as we walked. We would join our voices yelling out phrases like: "YES to Tijuana, NO to violence" or "Tijuana for Christ". We definitely caught people's attention and were able to invite many to the program we were going to have at the final destination.
Once we arrived to "Plaza Cecilia" which was our final destination we had a good 100 people ready to watch the program we had prepared. We had one person from each country (from the 20 countries) represented proclaim words of truth over Tijuana.
We also had a few dances, me being part of one of them. At the end of the program we had time to talk to people and share about God. Jean-Philippe and Me had the opportunity to meet Javier, who is not from Tijuana but was deported from the US about a year ago. He struggled finding a job but now thank God he is working and even though he doesn't make a lot of money, he is trying to make a living instead of stealing or doing wrong things. We got to pray for Javier and proclaim God's love in his life.
God loves Tijuana and us, as his people, get to be light in this place of "violence".
Thank you for your prayers.
